This is a key opportunity for a Project Associate to directly support efforts enhancing electoral integrity in Moldova. You will strengthen key institutions in tackling electoral corruption and illicit political finance – critical threats to democratic progress. As a vital member of our team, you’ll ensure efficient project operations and provide crucial support to the Project Manager.
What You Will Do as a Project Associate
As a Project Associate, your tasks will include:
- Managing Project Operations: You’ll handle administrative, logistical, travel, procurement, financial, and asset management tasks, adhering strictly to UNDP regulations.
- Supporting Project Implementation: You will assist in carrying out project activities to help us reach our key goals.
- Facilitating Collaboration: You’ll provide office support for meetings, help with planning, and assist different groups in communicating effectively.
- Ensuring Financial Accountability: You will assist with budget management, monitor spending, and support the preparation of financial reports.
- Coordinating Operational Needs: You will manage buying processes, project equipment, and organize logistics for events and staff.
- Supporting Knowledge Sharing: You will assist in sharing project information and good ideas with others.
What We Seek in Our Project Associate
We are looking for a proactive and meticulous individual who:
- Has a Good Education: You need to have finished high school. A college degree in a related field is also a plus.
- Has Relevant Work Experience: You should have at least 4 years of experience in office work, finance, accounting, economics, or getting supplies in development or similar jobs (7 years if you only finished high school).
- Is Good with Office Tools and Money: You should know how to use office software (like Word and Excel). Experience with databases or online systems is also important.
- Is Very Organized: You should be able to handle many tasks, know what’s important, and keep good records.
- Speaks Well: You need to speak and write English and Romanian fluently. Knowing Russian or other languages spoken in Moldova is also helpful.
- Works Well with Others: You should be able to work well in a team and talk to different people.
